Members of the Russian Academy of Arts are mourning over the decease of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II. The President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli attended the Requiem Service in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow on December 9, 2008.
