In the parallel program of the 3rd Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art, the Russian Academy of Arts and the Moscow Museum of Modern Art present “Darya Dostal: Photodelics. Moscow” project curated by Anna Mongaut.
It is an artistic debut of actress and film producer Darya Dostal. The multimedia project “Photodelics. Moscow” is devoted to the frantic energy of the city that appears in photographs, shines with a radioactive glow in the light-boxes, comes to life in the animation. These are fragments of a fantastic film that has not been completed. It is a psychedelic road movie about Moscow that has radically changed in the 1990s. Some pictures have been purposely taken out of the window of a racing car in order to show Moscow as the Muscovites really remember it. |
