Culture” All-Russian Research and Practical Conference in honor of the 300th anniversary of Mikhail Lomonosov that will take place in the White Hall of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts, 21 Prechistenka street on October 20, 2011 at 11am.
The Conference dedicated to the traditional craft of bone carving in the villages of Kholmogor District of the Arkhangelsk Region in the North of Russia has been organized by the Russian Academy of Arts, the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Artists’ Union of Russia, Interregional Lomonosov Foundation. It will be accompanied by an exhibition of works carved of bone and presentation of a book devoted to the art of Kholmogor bone carving.
