People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, Laureate of Order of Honor and Winner of International Prizes
Edward Drobitski graduated from the Moscow Institute of Architecture in 1969. Since early 1960-s he actively worked in industrial graphic art. Drobitski was one of the initiators of the Center for Non-Official Art on Malaya Gruzinskaya street in Moscow which later developed in the establishment of the Moscow United Committee of Graphic Artists. In 1979 Edward Drobitski was elected its president. In 1974 Drobitski was one of the participants and organizers of the notorious Bulldozer Exhibition and the first exhibition of Moscow avant-garde artists in a pavilion of the Economic Achievements Exhibition.
