Our Glory – Russian Empire: Solo Show of Works by the People’s Artist of Russia Vasili Nesterenko

The Museum-Preserve “Kolomenskoye” hosts a solo show of works by the People’s Artist of Russia, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts Vasili Nesterenko. The exhibition presents the artist’s canvases dedicated to the glory of Russian army, Russian history, its spiritual leaders and historical figures.

Works by Vasili Nesterenko are well-known in Russia and other countries. They are in collections of major Russian museums and have been on display at numerous Russian and international exhibitions. Vasili Nesterenko is an author of a number of monumental paintings for the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow, canvases on the Biblical topics for the Patriarch’s Refectory, a cycle of icons of the Mother of God. Vasili Nesterenko is a holder of high state and Academy’s awards,  as well as awards of the Russian Orthodox Church.
