On December 17, 2014 in Paris in the Russian Center for Science and Culture there will be a master class of the President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli. It is not the first master class of the world renowned artist in the French capital. Of big success were his international “open lessons” in the UNESCO Headquarters in 2007, 2013.
In the fall of 2014 the Russian Center for Science and Culture hosted Zurab Tsereteli’s master class in painting for 40 children at the age of 5 to 12 – pupils of Russian and French schools in Paris. The Russian Center set up in Paris in 1995 to promote researches and cultural relations between Russia and France arranges art exhibitions, scientific forums and conferences, presentations of Russian regions, book salons, concerts and master classes of contemporary artists.
Master classes for young artists are an integral part of Zurab Tsereteli’s creative activity. Weekly, sometimes several times a week, the artist shares his skills in painting with Russian and foreign children and students in Tsereteli Art Gallery in Moscow. Of special care for him are children from orphan asylums, physically challenged children as he is confident that art therapy is an source of inexhaustible creative forces and inspiration.
