Art Works by Anatoli Bichukov are on display in Voronezh

In Voronezh, on May 23, 2007  opened a solo exhibition of the noted sculptor, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Arts, Head of  V. Surikov Moscow State Academy Art Institute Anatoli Bichukov. The exposition comprises sculptural works of various periods, a series of portraits of our contemporaries, historical heroes who glorified Russia, as well as  defenders of  our fatherland in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945.
     The centerpieces of the exhibition are sculptural portraits of Sergei Esenin and A. Gorchakov.   The poet Sergei Esenin is one of the favorite characters in the sculptor’s art.  Bichukov’s monuments to this celebrated Russian poet stand in Moscow, in Konstantinovo, Ryazan region where the poet was born, and in Voronezh.
