Patterns On Stone Exhibition of Works by Adylbek Biterekov in Tsereteli Art Gallery

On July 8, 2008 Tsereteli Art Gallery and the Russian Academy of Arts in association with Ministry for Culture and Communication of the Kyrgyz Republic, Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to Russia, the Artists’s Union of Kyrgyzstan present an exhibition of works by Adylbek Biterekov, Honored Art Worker of the Kyrgyz Republic entitled Patterns on Stone.

Adylbek Biterekov belongs to the generation of masters who distinguished themselves in the second half of the 1980s. When Adylbek Biterekov graduated from I. Repin St. Petersburg Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in 1979, it was the time when Kyrgyz art was in urgent need of renovation. He contributed to the evolution of the national art by his original manner of oil painting. His fragmented and at the same time alloyed strokes of paint brush form a color texture that imitates the roughness of a stone and creates unexpected color effects.
