EXHIBITION OF MASTERS OF GRAPGHIC ART IN CHEBOKSARY

Organized by the Graphic Art Department of the Russian Academy of Arts in partnership with the State Museum of Fine Arts of Chuvashia and timed to the 260th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Arts, the exhibition showcases works by masters of graphic art.

The Graphic Art Department of the Russian Academy of Arts unites distinguished artists working in various types of graphic art – easel drawings and prints, book illustration, posters, caricature. Its members are such People’s and Honored Artists of Russia as Albina Akritas, Anatoly  Borodin, Nickolai Voronkov, Vyacheslav Zhelvakov, Anatoly Lyubavin, Myud Mechev, Dmitry Sandjiev, Oleg Savostyuk, Alexander Suvorov, Alexander Teslik, Alexey Shmarinov, Alexander Yastrebenetsky, Mickhail Avvakumov, Valery Akopov, Anastasia Arkhipova, Mikhail Verkholanysev and many others.

This major exhibition is a good opportunity to see the graphic works of Academicians and Corresponding Members of the Russian Academy of Arts from many regions and cites of Russia presenting the whole range of contemporary trends of graphic art produced in various graphic techniques and dedicated to themes of ancient and classical heritage, Russian history and nature, today’s life and events. The exhibition presents a vast collection of works by noted artists from Chuvashia.
