LANDSCAPE IN RUSSIAN ART OF THE SECOND HALF OF THE 19TH – EARLY 20TH CENTURY. EVOLUTION OF THE GENRE: INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH CONFERENCE AT THE RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF ARTS

The Research Institute of Theory and History of Fine Arts of the Russian Academy of Arts (RAA) invites you to attend the International Research Conference “Landscape in Russian Art of the Second Half of the 19th – Early 20th Century. Evolution of the Genre”, that will take place on May 16, 2022. The Conference will be held in two formats: in the White Hall of the Russian Academy of Arts (21 Prechistenka street, Moscow) and on-line (ZOOM).

 

The Conference is part of a series of annual projects of the Department of Russian Art of the 18th – early 20th century of the Research Institute of Theory and History of Fine Arts of the RAA for the study of art culture of Modern Time and is timed to the 150th birth anniversary of the Belorussian artist Vitold Byalynitsky-Birulya (1872-1957). The relevance of this Conference is due to both the fundamental problem of the theme and solo exhibition of the master initiated by the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, that will be on display at the Russian Academy of Arts in May 18 – June 26, 2022.
