THE CREATIVE LEGACY OF FYODOR DOSTOEVSKY IN FINE ARTS: INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH CONFERENCE IN HONOR OF THE NOVELIST'S 200TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY

The Russian Academy of Arts, the Department of Art History and Art Criticism of the RAA, the Moscow Department of the Artists' Union of Russia invite you to take part in the international research conference "The Creative Legacy of Fyodor Dostoevsky in Fine Arts. In Honor of the Novelist's 200th Birth Anniversary", that will take place on June 2, 2021 in the White Hall of the Russian Academy of Arts (21 Prechistenka street, Moscow).

Within the Conference framework, fr om May25 till June 11,2021 in the Exhibition Hall of the Moscow Department of the Artists' Union of Russia (7 Begovaya street, Moscow) there will be an exhibition of illustrations to Fyodor Dostoevsky's books.

The Conference is being held in the year of Dostoevsky's 200th birth anniversary, which celebration on the initiative of Russia was supported by international community under the auspices of UNESCO. It is aimed at discussing fundamental problems related to the perception of Fyodor Dostoevsky's legacy in today's world, his impact on artists, as well as problems and poetry of artworks interpreting his literary works.

Main topics of the Conference:

1.Fyodor Dostoevsky as a figure of World culture.

2.Formation of aesthetic views of Fyodor Dostoevsky.

3.Artistic interpretations of Fyodor Dostoevsky's works in illustrations of Russian and international artists.

4.Evolution of Dostoevsky's images perception.

5.Sculptural monuments to Fyodor Dostoevsky in Russia and other countries.

6.Formation and study of artworks collections dedicated to Fyodor Dostoevsky in Russian museums.

It is possible to participate in the Conference in person and in absentia.

The Conference will be accompanied by publication of a collective scientific monograph in 2021. In view of the very short period for publication preparation we will be very much obliged if you could send the text of your paper till May 20, 2021 after you confirm your participation.

Notes:

-The paper shall be submitted via e-mail (Times New Roman, size -14), volume - up to 25000 signs without spaces.

-The author's surname, first name and patronymic shall be indicated before the name of the paper to be followed by Annotation (3-4 sentences) and Key words.

-The number of illustrations shall not be more than 7-8 in jpg format, 300dpi.

-The bibliographic references shall be given in the end of the paper in the alphabetic order while end-to-end numbering is not specified, thus it should look like [1, p.10], wh ere the first digit - number in the bibliographic list and the second - number of the page.

In the end of the paper the following should be given IN ENGLISH:
