The Russian Ministry of Culture, the Russian Academy of Arts (RAA), the Department of Art History and Art Criticism of the RAA, the Research Institute of Theory and History of Fine Arts of the RAA and Moscow Department of the Artists’ Union of Russia invite you to attend the International Research Conference “The Creative Legacy of Fyodor Dostoevsky in Fine Arts. In Honor of the Novelist’s 200th Birth Anniversary”, that will take place in the White Hall of the Russian Academy of Arts (21 Prechistenka street, Moscow) on June 2, 2021at 10.30 am.

Within the Conference framework, from May 25 to June 11, 2021on display in the Exhibition Hall of the Moscow Department of the Artists’ Union of Russia (7 Begovaya street, Moscow) there will be illustrations to Fyodor Dostoevsky’s books. The Conference is being held in the year of Dostoevsky’s 200th birth anniversary, which celebration on the initiative of Russia was supported by international community under the auspices of UNESCO. The Conference is aimed at discussing fundamental problems related to the perception of Fyodor Dostoevsky’s legacy in today’s world, his impact on artists, as well as problems and poetry of artworks interpreting his literary works.
